Ghost-Spider, Spider-Char, Gwen Stacy, Spider-Gwen - whatever you call her, she's about to Be the starring of a refreshing Marvel multiversal event news report entitled Gwen-Verse that brings together ninefold variants of Gwen Stacy from around the Wonder multiverse for a team-up in 2022.

Interestingly, Ghost-Spider (the latest superhero name used by the altitude-Earth version of Gwen Stacy) debuted in Wanderer-Verse, a story about numerous versions of Spider-Man from different worlds all workings together to face a murderous terror, meaning that with the onset of her own Gwen-Verse event, she's orgasm full circle at Marvel Comics.

... but she's apparently switching back to her middle-aged name, Spider-Gwen.

Spider-Gwen: Gwen-Verse will be a quint-issue circumscribed series from writer Tim Seeley and artist Jodi Nishijima with character designs by Peach Momoko. From each one issue will showcase different versions of Gwen Stacy from about the Multiverse who follow in the footsteps of heroes otherwise Wanderer-Man.

To wit, David Nakayama's cover for Spider-Gwen: Gwen-Rhyme #1 shows Gwen front-and-heart and soul, along with mashed-up versions of Gwen combined with Captain America, Wolverine, Ironman, Thor, Captain Marvel, and even her Dark-Gwen/Nighthawk incarnation from the recent Heroes Reborn upshot.

You may notice the premise of Gwen-Verse's crush-ups of Gwen Stacy and other Marvel heroes comes hot on the heels of a similar set of mash-up stories for Gwen's far-time ally Miles Morales, with the newly declared deed of conveyance What If...Miles Morales focusing along understudy world versions of Miles who surveil in the footsteps of heroes such as Maitre d' America and Wolverine, rather than Spider-Man.

Put differently, about the exact same construct, merely featuring Miles instead of Gwen.

Befitting so much a multiversal serial publication, Spider-Gwen: Gwen-Verse #1 will accept an array of variants including ones from Greg Land, David Nakayama (an unlettered version of his main underwrite), Felipe Massafara (two versions), Peach Momoko, and Sabine Well-to-do (deuce versions). Marvel's penchant for mashing up its characters, especially on variant covers, is nothing new-sprung - the publisher has embraced the musical theme as part of its current philosophy of the 'magic of change.'

As a matter of fact, Marvel mashing up Gwen Stacy with other heroes isn't even a brand new idea in of itself, as the publisher created a series of variant covers a few years ago featuring similar Gwen Stacy dally-ups.

That series of discrepancy covers eventually led to the cosmos of Gwenpool by Chris Bachalo, a squeeze-upbound of Gwen Stacy and Deadpool who later became her own totally separate character named Gwen Poole, who has since go disunite of the mainstream Marvel Cosmos.

And in that same vein, Wonder is celebrating Gwen-Verse with a pipeline of variant covers mashing up Gwen Stacy with different members of the X-Workforce for many of the publisher's spring 2022 titles.

Here's a gallery of all the X-Gwen (couldn't have gone with 'Gwex-Men'?) variant covers:
